SAFETY FIRST: All cars must pass tech inspection done by St. Thomas Raceway Park. This is not up for debate, if they don’t pass you in tech, you don’t race. Please remember to remove all articles from your trunk, have a spare key in the trunk or hatch if you are running nitrous. Please have a release tube for hatch cars. BRING A D.O.T. APPROVED HELMET! Following the track’s tech, you must also pass “club tech” which enables us to register you for the grudge and ensure you are in the appropriate class. If you are in open class, there will also be a determination of Open class Race or Open Class Street based on your car’s set-up and mods. Class assignment is not open for discussion. Failure to disclose all your mods and you will be disqualified. Loose your cool and you will be asked to leave the private property. We’re there to have fun, let’s be sportsmanlike men and women. |
Mustang Day Sat. Sept. 10 2011
![]() |
SPECTATOR CHARITY POOL:
Grudge match pairings will close on Sept 5th, at 8pm. Once the grid is final, we will prepare a charity pool entry form for spectators and racers alike. The pool is very simple: - $10 per entry. Please bring a $10 bill if possible. - Pick the winners of each match in the three sessions. - The entry that picks the most correct winners will win the pool. - In the event we have more than one winner with the most correct picks or a perfect sheet, we will also have asked the overall fastest ET of the day. This will serve as the tiebreaker, the closest guess to the fastest ET of the day WITHOUT GOING OVER wins. - Half the pot goes directly to the winner. (minimum $100 even if there are very few participants) - The second half goes to CCVF as a donation in the winner’s name. They will retain the tax receipt. |

Mustang Classes: Classes have been selected as best as possible to represent the model years and owner demographic. Trailers ARE PERMITTED. ONE free power adder is permitted in each mustang class. Running two power adders lands you in open class. Any combination of track specific mods will also land you in open class. (Example: A cage alone will not get you in open class, however, a cage and weight reduction and only a driver seat in the car and no interior panels WILL land you in open class ) This is at the discretion of “club tech” which is performed after the track does tech and it’s not open for discussion. Cars must also have a full exhaust system for mustang classes. ASS HANDING CERTIFICATES: If you win one or more of your grudge match passes, you are entitled to request a certificate to cherish for years to come proving you handed your opponent, his or her, sorry ass. |
No rain date has been booked. Any weather issues will be evaluated dynamically. COST IS $30.00 (NO OTHER ENTRY COSTS TO RACE) $10.00 FOR CREW & SPECTATORS HOW TO REGISTER Send a PRIVATE MESSAGE TO: Darkhorse@gtamc.com INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: YOUR NAME, YOUR CAR DETAILS: MODEL, YEAR, ENGINE, ESTIMATED ET. YOUR SCREEN NAME We realize that some of the participants do not have access to the board or a computer. Those participants should have someone with a computer contact us to participate. Registrants that choose to register when they arrive on Sept 10, 2011 will be included on a best efforts basis. To ensure your participation, please register early to avoid confusion or disappointment. |
Open Classes:
Open class race – This class is for the drag racing enthusiasts that either weekend bracket race or professionally race. It’s hardly fair for an 8 sec pro 5.0 car to go up against those street cars that don’t qualify for the mustang classes. This class will also house those that run multiple power adders and other combination of track specific mods that excludes them from the mustang classes. Open class street – This class is for the street cars that are not mustangs. Other fords and other brands and the same rules that apply to the mustang classes apply here. Eg. If you run a Chevy with multiple power adders, you will be in the open class race. Determinations of class will be performed by “club tech” that morning. Should you have questions about your class in advance or want to make changes to qualify for a particular class, please contact the organizers. |
| GRUDGE MATCHES
The grudge matches will be charted in a grid. The grid will be posted up periodically with updates and the grid will close Sept 5th at 8pm. There are three sessions. You are responsible to organize your own match-ups. Please be aware that depending on the matches you choose, they may not fit into the grid. You can only pick three grudge matches and they can’t conflict during the same session. If you don’t have any rivals to line up with, you can give us your car, mods and times and we will attempt to match you up with a similar car. You are not required to fill all three sessions if you don’t want to. If you have empty sessions, we may approach you to fill them. Where possible, we wish to see a driver’s race. We are not interested in seeing you up against an unmatched car. Some of the best racing happens with matched cars, even if they both run 15 second times. Don’t let the perception of your ET hold you back, we’re there to have fun. Also, don’t forget that the fastest car doesn’t always win. These are a heads up race! You MUST cross the finish line first, even if your ET is faster. If you red light, you loose. If you break, you loose. You must win during your grudge pass to obtain bragging rights. The times will be recorded and averaged. To register your grudge match sessions, both you and your partner must SEND PRIVATE MESSAGE TO: Darkhorse@gtamc.com and receive a confirmation back. PLEASE allow time for a response, there will be several hundred PM’s exchanged. Please only follow-up again after 24-48 hours if you have not heard back. |

Prizes will be awarded for each race class, plus three additional awards: “King of Smack Talk – 2011” The gtamc.com official smack talk forum will determine the winner of this coveted award. “Most Badazz” Do you run fast and look damn good doing it? “Sportsman Award” essentially the most positive person that inspires the organizers to continue to deliver these events. At the discretion of the organizers. |
